President John Tyler, our 10th, would have been 222 today. If he had only lived. Of course, if he had lived, he’d have 222 children by now. He had 15 in his lifetime as it was. He was still making new little baby Rebels for the cause of the South at the age of 70. John died as a member of the Confederate Congress, at the height of the Civil War – and still had a glint in his eye. I do believe his wife may have been secretly relieved he didn’t come home that night.
